This is a permanent, full time vacancy

About the role

The position requires extensive experience in workforce planning, organisational workforce strategies, staffing solutions, including workforce diagnostics and engagement programs. The successful candidate will lead a team that delivers best practice and efficient strategic, tactical and operational workforce planning strategies and services, including organisational workforce plan, successions planning, capability gap analysis, business engagement and stakeholder management.

The role emphasises strong leadership qualities, commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to ethical principles.

The successful candidate will report to the Director Workforce Planning, Design and Development and will be responsible for leading the Workforce Planning team.

Suitability Requirements

Through the recruitment process, we will be looking for candidates who can demonstrate skills, experience and attributes in relation to the following:

1. Skilled Expertise: Extensive experience in Workforce Planning strategies, services and projects;
2. Think through complexity: Ability to use logical analysis, workforce data diagnostics, forecasting, information collation and presentation, for effective decision making;
3. Workforce Projects: Experience in leading complex, high volume workforce projects in public sector environment within legislative guidelines and governance framework;
4. Embody the spirit of public sector: Display empathy, compassion, humility and integrity, and a genuine passion for the work; demonstrate a responsibility to Western Australians; and work in the interests of the public good.
