Area Sales Manager / Account Manager - Electrical

Opportunity

We're recruiting a BDM for an established international lighting and electrical products business.

This is a genuine territory growth role, managing electrical wholesalers while building relationships with contractors, builders, project customers and end users to generate demand and grow sales.

We're particularly interested in people who understand the electrical trade.

You could be:

- An electrician or electrical contractor looking to get off the tools and into sales
- Working in electrical wholesale and looking to move to the supplier/manufacturer side
- An experienced BDM, Account Manager or Sales Representative within electrical, lighting, tools, industrial or trade products

Previous field sales experience isn't essential. Strong product knowledge, communication skills, commercial awareness and the drive to build a territory are what matter.

Responsibilities

- Manage and grow an established Victorian territory
- Manage existing customer relationships and develop new business
- Build relationships with electrical wholesalers and branch teams




- Develop a strong contractor and end-user network
- Identify and win current business and convert competitor customers
- Identify projects and sales opportunities
- Conduct contractor visits, product demonstrations and trials
- Drive product ranging and brand visibility through wholesale branches
- Manage quotes and opportunities through to sale
- Plan your territory and achieve sales targets
