About the Role

Join our team as a Ward Clerk and play a vital role in creating a welcoming and organised environment for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. As the first point of contact for many visitors, you will help keep ward operations running efficiently while supporting quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide reception and administrative support for the ward
- Manage patient information, records, and appointment bookings
- Assist with bed allocation processes and patient movements within the ward
- Ensure stock and equipment supplies are maintained and readily available
- Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health teams

About You

We're looking for a friendly, organised, and adaptable team member who thrives in a fast-paced ward environment. With excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail, you'll contribute to a positive experience for patients, families, and staff while ensuring administrative processes run smoothly.

- Previous experience in an office administration or customer-facing role
- Ability to communicate professionally and sensitively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Accurate data entry skills with a commitment to confidentiality and privacy
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and adapt to changing operational needs
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in a busy healthcare setting
