About the opportunity
Join Australia Post's Health, Safety & Wellbeing team as a Workplace Rehabilitation Provider on a 12-month fixed-term contract and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of our people. Working alongside Injury Management Advisors, Claims Specialists, leaders and external medical providers, you'll support injured employees through their recovery journey and help them achieve safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes. Success in this role means building trusted relationships, delivering tailored rehabilitation solutions, and positively influencing employee wellbeing across a diverse national workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise in workplace rehabilitation, gain exposure to the Comcare environment, and further develop your stakeholder management and injury management skills within one of Australia's most iconic organisations.
You'll also
- Conduct rehabilitation and workplace assessments to identify an employee's capacity and support their recovery and return-to-work journey.
- Develop, implement and monitor tailored rehabilitation and return-to-work plans that deliver positive outcomes for employees and the business.
- Partner with employees, treating practitioners,
service providers, managers and claims teams to coordinate effective rehabilitation strategies.
- Provide expert advice on occupational rehabilitation, injury management and prevention while ensuring compliance with Comcare, SRCC licensing requirements and Australia Post policies.
About you
You're passionate about helping people achieve positive outcomes and thrive in a role that combines clinical expertise, problem-solving and relationship building. You bring a proactive and empathetic approach, enjoy collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders, and are motivated by making a genuine impact on employee wellbeing. Organised and adaptable, you're comfortable managing competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes in a complex and dynamic environment.
You'll also
- Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Physiology, with eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
- Have experience applying early intervention and injury management strategies, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bring previous experience as an In-House or Independent Rehabilitation Provider and/or experience managing cases within the Comcare scheme (highly regarded),
along with a current driver's licence.
