About the position

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Services, the Head of Data Governance will lead Anglicare’s enterprise-wide data governance, information governance and records management function. This influential role will establish and govern the frameworks, policies and operating models that ensure organisational data is trusted, appropriately managed and aligned with strategic, regulatory and risk priorities.

As Anglicare’s senior domain expert, you will work across the organisation to lift data maturity, strengthen ownership and accountability,



improve data quality and oversee information lifecycle management. You will also provide governance oversight for data used in AI, analytics and emerging technologies, champion greater data literacy and provide strategic reporting and advice to the Executive and Board.

About the person

You will be an experienced data governance, information management or data privacy leader with a track record of designing and implementing enterprise governance frameworks within large, complex organisations. You will bring strong knowledge of Australian privacy law and regulatory requirements, together with demonstrated experience improving organisational data maturity through business-led ownership and governance models.

A credible and influential communicator, you will be comfortable engaging across multiple stakeholder groups and providing clear advice to senior executives and Boards on data, risk and compliance. Experience within human services, health or care environments will be particularly valuable, while expertise in master data management, data quality, privacy, modern data platforms or relevant data and records management qualifications will be highly regarded.
