About the Role
The Executive Officer provides high-level strategic support and functions as a trusted advisor to the Faculty General Manager and Dean, Faculty of Law. This encompasses:
• Delivering analysis and having oversight of strategic projects and initiatives that contribute to the Faculty's long-term success.
• Advising on emerging issues, drafting policy and communications, and acting on behalf of leadership in designated matters.
• Supporting implementation of the UTS 2030 Strategy and specific Faculty priorities.
• Contributing to the university's research, education, international, external engagement and governance, regulatory, assurance and enterprise risk goals.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will need to have:
• An equivalent combination of relevant knowledge or training equivalent to degree qualification, or extensive relevant experience or training.
• Clear, concise written and oral communication, organisational and relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated systematic thinking and ability to analyse information and situations, identify issues,
assess impacts and propose options/recommendations based on sound rationale.
• Proven strategic planning and operational project management skills relevant to the Faculty context.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and on multiple tasks, including people management experience.
• Sound knowledge of, or willingness to develop, skills in governance, regulatory compliance, assurance and risk management within complex organisations.
• Significant experience working for senior executives, preferably in a University and Faculty/Division setting.
• Strong digital technology skills including demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office suite, in particular spreadsheets, project management tools, data analysis dashboards and AI productivity tools.

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $146,657 to $153,642 per annum pro rata (HEW9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 14 months (to backfill parental leave).
A hybrid work arrangement is available which comprises of working onsite at the UTS Broadway Sydney campus and remote working.
