Platinum Hail Management Solutions (PHMS) is seeking an exceptional General Manager – Operations to join our executive leadership team and take responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of our business.

This is not a traditional management position. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, performs at their best under pressure and takes genuine ownership and accountability for business performance.

Automotive or collision repair experience is not required. We are deliberately looking beyond our industry because leadership ability, operational experience and cultural fit are more important to us than technical automotive knowledge.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take responsibility for leading our operations and driving objectives throughout the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and developing our operational teams across multiple locations.

- Driving productivity, performance and accountability throughout the business.

- Developing managers, supervisors and team leaders.

- Monitoring operational performance and ensuring key objectives are achieved.

- Identifying problems early and taking decisive action to resolve them.

- Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and workflows.

- Workforce and resource planning.

- Building strong relationships with major corporate clients and key stakeholders.

- Working closely with the Directors on business strategy, growth and future development.

The Person

You will have solid situational awareness and the ability to understand what is happening across a complex operation,



identify what requires attention and act without needing to be continually directed.

You will be resilient, reliable, commercially minded and comfortable making decisions and accepting responsibility for their outcomes.

You will enjoy a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly and challenges need to be solved rather than passed on to someone else.
