The Role

As our Payroll Officer, you’ll support the end-to-end payroll process while providing exceptional service and advice to our team. You’ll be responsible for:

- Setting up new employees across payroll and Time & Attendance systems

- Processing payroll accurately and in line with relevant legislation

- Managing employee changes, including new starters, terminations and salary updates

- Calculating termination payments, increases and backpays

- Providing accurate payroll advice and support to managers and employees

- Responding to payroll enquiries and providing general administration support

- Maintaining payroll systems, records and electronic filing

- Preparing payroll reports for Operations and relevant departments

- Supporting the Payroll Manager with month-end activities, including leave provisions, reconciliations, reporting and payroll journals

- Maintaining and updating payroll procedures and processing manuals

About You – What You'll Bring

- 2–3+ years’ experience in payroll or a similar role

- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements

- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail





- Confident using Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems

- Previous retail payroll experience is highly desirable

- Experience with Dayforce Payroll

- Experience with Time & Attendance systems, with UKG experience highly desirable
