The Role

Reporting to the Head of Project Management, this hands-on role will be responsible for the design, programming, testing, commissioning and ongoing support of automated food processing machinery.

Working across the full project lifecycle, your key responsibilities will include:

- Design, develop and modify PLC, HMI, SCADA and motion control systems

- Develop electrical, control and automation solutions for industrial machinery

- Conduct FAT, SAT, I/O testing and system validation

- Install, configure and commission machinery at customer sites

- Troubleshoot electrical, automation and control system faults

- Support equipment upgrades, retrofits and optimisation projects

- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal project teams

- Ensure solutions meet relevant safety, electrical and machinery standards

Your Background





You are a practical Automation or Controls Engineer who enjoys being involved from design through to commissioning. You will also have:

- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or similar

- Experience designing, programming and commissioning industrial automation systems

- Strong PLC, HMI and SCADA experience

- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability

- Experience with FAT, SAT and commissioning

- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to undertake domestic and periodic international travel
