As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Fitter, Mechanical Technician, or Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician or mechanically trade-qualified Fitter & Turner, Fitter & Machinist, Plant Mechanic, or Mechanic with hydraulic experience.
This is a hands-on workshop role involving the assembly, modification, repair, testing, and servicing of hydraulic equipment and components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Modify, assemble, and test hydraulic components and systems.
- Assembly of AC/DC hydraulic power units.
- Overhaul and repair of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and drives.
- Hydraulic repairs, servicing, testing, and fault diagnosis.
- Fitting and assembly of mechanical components, tools, and sub-assemblies.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Monitoring equipment condition and reporting defects.
- Working with various materials including steel, cast iron, and aluminium.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, practical skills, and a willingness to develop their hydraulic expertise.
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant trade qualifications and experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Previous experience in a fitter, mechanical, manufacturing, or assembly role.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
Desirable Experience:
- Hydraulic industry experience.
- Manual lathe and milling machine experience.
- Experience working with hydraulic components and systems.

Additional Information:
- Full-time position.
- Working hours available:
- 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, or
- 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Interviews will be conducted at our Clayton facility.
