Integration Developers - Multiple Opportunities
Sydney | Hybrid Working | NV1 Clearance Essential
4 positions available - Senior and Developer-level opportunities
We are currently seeking four Integration professionals to join a major technology environment based in Sydney. These opportunities will suit candidates with strong integration backgrounds across APIs, middleware, messaging and cloud technologies.
There are openings across different levels of seniority:
- 1 x Senior Integration Developer / Integration Architect
- 3 x Integration Developers
All positions are Sydney-based with hybrid working arrangements.
An active NV1 security clearance is essential for these opportunities.
Senior Integration Developer / Integration Architect - 1 Position
This is the senior technical role within the team, combining enterprise integration architecture with hands-on technical leadership. You will help define the organisation's integration approach, establish standards and patterns, and provide technical direction to developers, architects and delivery teams.
Key responsibilities

- Design scalable, secure and resilient solutions across APIs, middleware, microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Establish integration patterns, technical standards, reference architectures and governance practices.
- Lead architecture and solution design reviews and provide technical guidance to integration developers and delivery teams.
- Identify and address integration risks, interoperability challenges, performance issues and architectural constraints.
- Support modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD and deployment automation.
- Ensure appropriate security,
authentication and authorisation approaches are incorporated across integration solutions.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years' experience across integration architecture, solution architecture and/or senior integration engineering.
- Strong experience with Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi or equivalent integration technologies.
- Deep knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, middleware, messaging, microservices, event-driven integration and data transformation.
- Experience designing solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of secure integration, including authentication and authorisation.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to guide developers and influence technical decisions.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
Integration Developers - 3 Positions
We are also seeking three Integration Developers to join the delivery team. These positions are more hands-on development focused than the senior role and will suit integration specialists who enjoy designing, building, testing and supporting interfaces across complex technology environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain integrations and interfaces across applications and platforms.
- Build and support APIs, middleware and messaging solutions.
- Develop synchronous, asynchronous and event-driven integrations.
- Implement REST, SOAP and message-based integrations,
including associated data mappings and transformations.
- Work across cloud and hybrid integration environments.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and resolve performance, reliability and interoperability issues.
- Support testing, deployment and CI/CD pipelines across environments.
- Maintain interface specifications, mappings and technical integration documentation.
- Work closely with senior technical resources, architects and delivery teams to implement integration designs and standards.
What we're looking for
- Approximately 5+ years' experience in integration development, middleware engineering or a related technical role.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi or equivalent.
- Experience developing REST/SOAP APIs, middleware and messaging solutions.
- Knowledge of synchronous, asynchronous and event-driven integration patterns.
- Strong data transformation and interface development skills.
- Experience working within cloud and hybrid environments.
- Exposure to automated testing, deployment and CI/CD practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a delivery-focused approach.
Essential Requirements
Across all four opportunities, candidates must:
- Be Sydney-based or able to work from Sydney under a hybrid working arrangement.
- Hold an active NV1 security clearance.
- Have strong experience within enterprise integration environments.
- Be comfortable collaborating across development, architecture and delivery teams.
These are excellent opportunities for integration professionals at different stages of their careers - from experienced hands-on developers through to senior specialists looking to take ownership of integration architecture and technical direction.
