About the role

Reporting to the Yard & Distribution Lead, you will be responsible for the safe, timely and efficient delivery of PolyPipe products to our customers, as well as collecting goods from suppliers when required.

Key responsibilities

- Safely transporting products to customer sites

- Manoeuvring vehicles for loading and unloading

- Checking that loads are correctly positioned, restrained and weight-distributed

- Completing daily vehicle pre-start inspections

- Reporting vehicle or trailer defects promptly

- Monitoring fuel and oil usage, tyre wear and general vehicle condition

- Maintaining accurate work diaries, manifests and delivery documentation

- Obtaining customer signatures and proof of delivery

- Complying with fatigue-management, load-restraint and road-safety requirements

- Providing professional and helpful service to customers

About you

- A current HR or HC Driver Licence, with HC preferred

- A current Forklift Licence is advantageous

- A robust understanding of road safety and load-restraint requirements

- Experience completing vehicle inspections and identifying basic faults





- Good communication and customer-service skills

- The ability to complete transport documentation accurately

- A reliable, self-motivated and team-focused approach

- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

- The flexibility to assist in other operational areas when required

- Experience transporting bulky or oversized products will be highly regarded
