Facilities Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our Facilities team at our Logan Village Campus.
This is a Full Time Permanent position, Monday to Friday 6:45am - 2:45pm, based at our Logan Village campus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To manage the grounds & buildings maintenance teams by ensuring they have jobs to do and ensuring they have tools, equipment and materials to do the assigned work.
- Use the system provided to manage jobs & scheduled work. Lead the daily morning meeting whereby the plan for the day is discussed.
- Ensure “Front of school” is maintained to high standards at all times
- When required, co-ordinate the team to bump in & bump out events and any other manual tasks required by the school.
- Ensure all team members follow best practice on ways of working Safely as per Australian Standards at all times.
- Respond immediately to any unsafe conditions noted anywhere within the school property by anyone. Safety of every person on our campuses is paramount.
- Arrange regular meetings with a spiritual emphasis for the team and ensure the team’s attendance at such meetings as well as any campus staff wide such meetings.
- Take overall responsibility for campus traffic management.
- Manage contractors on site doing maintenance (i.e. their delivery of the work, behaviour on site e.t.c. )
- Ensure all equipment used by the maintenance team is maintained & serviced where needed.
- Raise Purchase requisitions on the system according to school procedures on best purchasing practice
- Anything requested by the Group Maintenance Manager or Campus Principal that’s in keeping with the overall school objectives.
Qualifications:
- Qualification in a trade or Engineering (preferable) and extensive experience in managing a team.
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) - Essential
- Physical attributes: Capable of doing physical work through all seasons and have the physical attributes to do manual work for the majority of a day if required.
- Be a team orientated person.

- at least 2 recent professional referees
- at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

King’s LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) currently has over 1000 students on-site, offering places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
