About the role

As an Infrastructure Officer, you will support the planning, maintenance and delivery of Parks Victoria's built assets and infrastructure across the Mt Buffalo area. Working closely with operational teams and contractors, you'll help ensure visitor facilities, assets and park infrastructure remain safe, functional and well maintained.

This hands-on role combines asset management, infrastructure maintenance, contractor coordination and compliance activities. You'll assist with inspections, data collection, reporting and the delivery of maintenance programs and minor works projects, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that support the long-term management of parks infrastructure.

The role also provides opportunities to work collaboratively across operational, environmental and visitor service programs while supporting emergency response and recovery activities when required.

The Ovens-King Area team is a collaborative and dedicated group committed to caring for some of Victoria's most treasured natural environments. Based in the stunning Mt Buffalo region, we work together to maintain park assets, support visitor experiences, deliver environmental outcomes and respond to the evolving needs of the community and public land management.

We're looking for someone with:

- Experience in planning, maintaining and administering assets and infrastructure.
- Trade experience or relevant qualifications (preferred).
- Experience coordinating work programs and/or contractors.
- Knowledge of maintenance, visitor services and conservation operations.
- Understanding of workplace safety, risk management and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to coordinate tasks, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence.
