The Whalers Hotel in Warrnambool is seeking two full time employees:

1. A full time Gaming Manager

1. A full time Duty Manager

Both positions will require flexibility of working hours including nights, weekends, and public holidays;

Gaming Manager:

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will have a proven operational knowledge of the day to day operations and compliance in all things Gaming.

· Manage day-to-day operations of the gaming room.

· Ensure compliance with all VGCCC regulations.

· Hold Gaming licence and modules,

· Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue.

· Provide leadership, training,



and support to gaming staff.

· Enhance guest service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

· Handle administrative tasks including rostering and reporting.

Duty Manager

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will oversee Gaming, TAB, and Food & Beverage - both Back of house & Front of House and have a minimum of 2 years management experience.

You will assist in the daily operations of the hotel including:

· Hands on management of the venue,

· Staff management, recruitment and training,

· Enhance guest service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

· Have a proven operational knowledge of the day to day operations of all areas of the hotel,

· Hold current RSA, Gaming licence and TAB licence.

· Assist in the management of labour costs and stock control;

· Ensuring hotel polices and systems are maintained;

For both roles ideally you will have:

· A career minded outlook with strong leadership skills;

· Previous experience in a management or senior role, with the ability to run a team;

· Confidence in working within a fast-paced, high volume environment whilst providing excellent customer service;

· Strong food and beverage knowledge;
