All Metal Laser is growing, and we’re looking for motivated people who want to start a career in the manufacturing industry.

We have an opportunity for a Laser Technical Assistant (TA) to join our laser production team. This is an entry-level position, with full training provided and a genuine pathway to progress into a Laser Operator role.

You don't need previous laser or manufacturing experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside our experienced Laser Operators, you will assist with the day-to-day running of our laser cutting machines and help ensure high-quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting Laser Operators with the daily operation and production of laser-cut parts

- Loading and unloading materials from laser cutting machines

- Moving and stacking raw materials and finished components

- Removing, sorting and identifying completed laser-cut parts

- Checking parts for quality and ensuring they meet required specifications

- Assisting with part separation, deburring and basic finishing activities

- Preparing materials and components for production

- Keeping the work area clean, organised and production-ready

- Assisting with packing and moving completed jobs

- Following production instructions and job requirements

- Reporting quality issues, damaged materials or production problems to the Laser Operator

- Working safely around machinery, materials and lifting equipment

- Supporting the Laser Operators to maintain an efficient and productive workflow

As you develop your skills, demonstrate reliability and consistently meet our safety and quality standards, there will be opportunities to progress into a Laser Operator position.

You don't need previous industry experience. We are interested in people who are:

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, fabrication, machinery or production experience is advantageous but not essential.

A current forklift licence will be highly regarded, however, it is not essential to apply.

For the right candidate, forklift training and licensing will be provided once you have demonstrated a suitable level of understanding, safe work practices and competence in the role.
