Cahill Transport is seeking an experienced and reliable HC Driver to join our Gateshead operations.

This casual role primarily covers a Friday and Saturday run with a 9:00 AM start, with additional weekday shifts available as required. Weekday work may include both AM and PM runs.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Completing scheduled runs between Gateshead, Charmhaven and Chullora, finishing at Gateshead.

- Working Friday and Saturday, with additional weekday shifts available as required.

- Loading and unloading dollies at customer and depot locations.

- Reversing to loading docks and roller doors.

- Coupling and uncoupling trailers as required.

- Completing load restraint and required vehicle checks.

- Managing delivery schedules while maintaining fatigue and safety compliance.

What You’ll Bring

- Current HC licence with relevant heavy vehicle driving experience.

- Availability to work Friday and Saturday, with flexibility for additional AM and PM shifts.

- Ability to safely load and unload dollies and complete associated manual handling.

- Confidence reversing, coupling and uncoupling heavy vehicles.

- Sound understanding of load restraint and fatigue management requirements.

- Strong reliability, punctuality and time management.
