At Beaumont Tiles, we're proud to have been Australia's favourite tiles and bathroomware retailer for over 60 years. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team at our National Support Office.
This is a fantastic prospect for someone who enjoys working across financial reporting, reconciliations, analysis and process improvement while partnering closely with stakeholders across the business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while supporting month-end processes, reporting requirements and compliance activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Supporting end-of-month accounting processes and financial reporting
- Assisting with management reporting, audits and compliance reviews
- Monitoring store banking activity and investigating discrepancies
- Analysing financial data to identify trends, issues and opportunities
- Supporting budgeting activities and financial planning processes
- Maintaining finance procedures and contributing to process improvements
- Working with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant Accounting or Finance qualifications
- Previous experience in a financial accounting or assistant accountant role
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Robust communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- A proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Power BI or DAX reporting will be highly regarded but is not essential.
