The Prospect

Our Queensland team is seeking Design Managers at Manager and Advisor level to support a major residential precinct program. Working within a client-side advisory environment, you'll coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, manage design risk and drive quality outcomes across a complex development program.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across concurrent contracts and project phases within a large residential precinct.
- Manage design risk identification, allocation, and mitigation across the program delivery enment.
- Integrate design programs across multiple workstreams to maintain alignment with the broader program master schedule.
- Implement and maintain design quality assurance processes, including design reviews, gate approvals, and interface coordination.
- Liaise with head contractors and client representatives on design development, approvals, and variation management.
- Prepare design-related reporting for senior clients and program leadership audiences.

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in architecture, engineering, urban design, landscape architecture, or related discipline.
- Manager level: approximately 10 years of experience in design management across large residential, mixed-use, or precinct development programs.
- Advisor level: five to seven years of experience in design management, design coordination,



or design consultant role on complex-built environment programs.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including architects, engineers, landscape architects, and specialist consultants.
- Understanding design risk, design development processes, and regulatory approvals in a Queensland context.
- Client-side, owner's representative, or integrated project delivery experience on programs of comparable scale and complexity.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and correspondence for senior audiences.
