HC DG Drivers Wanted for Specialised Linehaul Operations in Brisbane
Chemtrans is seeking multiple experienced HC DG Drivers to join a highly specialised transport operation based at Coopers Plains in Brisbane.
Chemtrans is a division of K&S; Freighters. The business specialises in the safe transport and delivery of dangerous goods, hazardous materials and chemicals throughout Australia.
These permanent positions are expected to commence in early October 2026. Therefore, applications are being fast-tracked now.

About the HC DG Driver Role
As an HC DG Driver, you’ll transport specialised and regulated freight while following strict safety and compliance procedures.
The position operates on a rotating milk-run schedule. Regular nights away from home are part of the role.
Generally,
drivers will be away overnight while completing their rotation. However, you’ll return home during most scheduled roster breaks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Transporting specialised and regulated freight
- Operating HC combinations safely
- Securing freight with approved restraint equipment
- Conducting pre-start vehicle inspections
- Completing required safety and compliance checks
- Adapting to changing operational needs
- Maintaining equipment to company standards
- Following strict company procedures
- Providing qualified customer service
- Maintaining high safety and security standards
Because of the freight involved, attention to detail will be essential on every run.
What You’ll Need
Applicants must meet strict licensing, security and compliance requirements.
You’ll need:
- Current Australian HC Licence
- Safe driving history
- Ability to complete security screening
- Ability to undergo required ASIO background checks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance
- Explosives Licence or willingness to obtain
- Dangerous Goods Licence or willingness to obtain
- MSIC and/or ASIC, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to meet ongoing security requirements
- Strong understanding of transport safety
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Commitment to working within a highly regulated environment
Most importantly, successful drivers must be prepared to maintain the required licences, clearances and compliance standards throughout their employment.
Experience That Will Give You an Advantage
Previous experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Dangerous goods transport
- Specialised regulated freight
- Highly controlled transport environments
However, drivers who meet the core requirements and are willing to obtain the necessary licences and clearances are also encouraged to apply.
