We’re currently partnering with a well-established Australian food manufacturing business to recruit a Quality Systems Coordinator to support and strengthen quality, food safety and compliance systems across a busy manufacturing operation.
This is a great opportunity for a quality professional looking to take ownership of systems, audits and continuous improvement within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Quality and Operations teams, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the site’s quality management systems and ensuring ongoing compliance with food safety, customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System and associated documentation.
- Coordinate internal audits, external audits and customer audit requirements.
- Manage corrective actions, non-conformances and follow-up activities.
- Support HACCP, food safety and quality programs across the manufacturing site.
- Monitor quality trends, KPIs and compliance performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain controlled documents, procedures, specifications and quality records.
- Support incident, complaint and root-cause investigations.
- Work closely with Production,
Operations and other departments to embed quality standards across the site.
- Assist with training and awareness initiatives relating to food safety and quality systems.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant food safety legislation, customer standards and company requirements.
About You
- Previous experience in a Quality Systems, QA or Food Safety role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety management systems.
- Experience with internal and external audits and corrective action management.
- Strong documentation, reporting and organisational skills.
- The ability to work confidently with Production and Operations teams and influence quality standards on the floor.
- Excellent attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach to quality.
- Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality or a related discipline are highly regarded.
