Open Sky Disability Services is seeking an experienced NDIS Rostering Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves managing participant and support worker rosters within a disability support provider setting, requiring hands-on experience with NDIS rostering and understanding of the challenges of managing a busy support workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain participant and support worker rosters
- Manage SIL and community support rosters, including sleepovers and active nights
- Fill vacant shifts and respond promptly to cancellations and staff unavailability
- Match support workers appropriately with participants based on needs, skills, compatibility and availability
- Maintain continuity of support and minimise unnecessary changes to regular staff
- Monitor roster gaps, overtime and potential staffing issues before they become problems
- Communicate roster changes clearly with support workers and relevant internal teams
- Maintain accurate information within the rostering system
- Work closely with Client Care,
Team Leaders and management
- Assist with forward workforce planning and identify upcoming staffing requirements
About you
- Previous NDIS/disability sector rostering experience
- Strong understanding of 24/7 and SIL rostering
- Experience managing a large pool of support workers
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple roster changes and competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident communication with support workers and management
- Ability to remain organised and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Good computer skills and experience using rostering/workforce management software
- Understanding of relevant SCHADS Award rostering requirements, including minimum engagements, breaks, sleepovers and overtime
