Keegan Adams are partnering exclusively with an ASX Listed Investment Management Firm who are seeking a Fund Accountant to join the Sydney-based Fund Operations team.

This role is part of the middle and back-office operations and is primarily responsible for shadow NAV preparation, position and cash reconciliations, and ensuring the integrity of our fund accounting data. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and at least 3 years’ experience in fund accounting or similar roles within the asset management or fund administration space.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain shadow NAVs for assigned funds to validate administrator-provided NAVs.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly position and cash reconciliation across prime brokers, custodians and administrators.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Daily workflow management, including but not limited to: trade capture and verification process, Corporate Action processing, fee accrual calculation and review, expense processing
- Collaborate with front office, external fund administrators, custodians and prime brokers to ensure accurate data flow and issue resolution.
- Liaising with other external service providers such as tax agents and auditors.




- Collaborate with other back-office team members to streamline and enhance operational workflows.
- Handle ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the team or management.

About you:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations in an asset management or fund administration environment.
- Strong understanding of investment products (equity, fixed income, derivatives etc.)
- Proficiency in Excel highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
