WA College of Agriculture (WACOA) – Morawa is seeking to establish a pool of Kitchen Hands for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

WACOA - Morawa is located in the town of Morawa, which is 100km from the coast and one and a half hours away from the services and amenities of the City of Geraldton. We provide small class sizes for program delivery, which offers the opportunity to work flexibly with the individual needs of each student.

Role

Suitable applicants will undertake general cleaning, catering or laundry duties across the College and Residential Boarding facilities, ensuring that a high standard of health, safety and hygiene is maintained. Duties will be concentrated in the kitchen area; however, suitable applicants may be required to assist across all areas as needs arise. Promptly reporting equipment and facilities faults whilst undertaking other related duties, as requested.

To be suitable for this role, the Kitchen hand is required to work well in a team environment to help prepare a large volume of meals on a daily basis. The ability to work unsupervised, good planning and coordinating skills to ensure adequate preparation of meals will be highly regarded.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

- be an Australian or Current Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
