RM - Swan Hill District Hospital - Maternity

Swan Hill District Health is seeking a Registered Midwife to join the Maternity ward at Swan Hill District Hospital in Victoria. This is a 14-week contract position running from 31 August to 4 December 2026, offering an opportunity to deliver care in a busy maternity setting. The successful candidate will be a dual-registered midwife with Level 3 FSEP training, bringing clinical expertise and a commitment to supporting women and families through pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period.

Preferred Requirements

- Current dual registration as a Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse




- Level 3 FSEP (Female Sexual and Reproductive Health) training or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in maternity care, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal settings
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a quick-paced maternity environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with women and families

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as both a Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse
- Level 3 FSEP training or recognised equivalent qualification
- Current CPR and emergency life support certification
