Position Available: Primary Special Class Teacher
We are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic teacher to join our committed Primary Campus team as Special Class Teacher. You will support and empower learners with disability who require substantial adjustments to access and thrive in their learning. The class caters for learners across R-6 requiring personalised education, including students with complex communication and behavioural needs.

Your Role
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students,
their families, and carers.
- Teach and support a diverse cohort of learners, including those with autism, intellectual disability, complex communication needs
- Plan, implement and assess individual learning programs using the Australian Curriculum, with substantial and extensive adjustments as necessary.
- Use a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems-experience with PODD books and Proloquo2Go is highly regarded.
- Experience assessing and reporting using the ABLES assessment tool
- Apply evidence-based strategies, such as Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
- Work collaboratively with classroom SSOs, other teachers, and external agencies (e.g., NDIS providers).
- Engage in and promote whole school planning for inclusion and personalised learning.
- Provide opportunities for students to build independence, confidence, and participate in community-based learning.
