About Us

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

As a specialist and dedicated court, we are able to focus solely on responding to the particular needs and interests of children, young people and their families. This focus guides our approach to the delivery of judicial, dispute resolution, registry and support services, as well as the physical environment of our courts.

The ChCV expertly and fairly applies the law in cases involving children and young people. We work closely with youth justice, legal services,



child protection and other community-based services to provide a multi-disciplinary court response to address the best interest of children in need of protection, whilst promoting the accountability and rehabilitation of young offenders and in doing so, improving community safety.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the collection, management and reporting of court performance data within the Children's Court.

You will be responsible for:

- the development of internal operational and management reporting
- collating, preparing and reviewing performance data
- leading the development of robust qualitative and quantitative analysis and trend modelling to support evidence-based decision making
- providing high level advice on demand and forecasting; developing demand analysis and forecast modelling
- overseeing data quality assurance requirements
- driving high standards and accuracy in operating procedures for continuous improvement in data analytics and reporting
- proactively identifying and addressing data gaps, data quality risks and issues in addition to offering solutions

About You





The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the development life cycle procedures and methodologies and a thorough knowledge and insight with Courts Case Management Systems and related data sets.

You will demonstrate:

- experience undertaking statistical and/or data business analysis, and development of reports
- well developed skills in the applications of Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access databases
- proven ability to develop research and demand resource models
- high-level interpersonal skills with the ability to convey iinformation, ideas and insights using various media to maximise understanding of key messages
- solid critical thinking and problem solving abilities
