About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailing Coordinator with proven experience in Tekla Structures and 3D scanning to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and surveyors to produce high-quality models and fabrication drawings that bring steel structures to life. Sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate, and an interstate relocation package could also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct 3D scanning using Trimble X7 scanners.

- Process and refine point cloud data for integration into models.

- Develop accurate 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures.

- Incorporate and interpret 3D scan data within Tekla workflows.

- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure model accuracy.

- Generate fabrication drawings, material lists, and reports.

- Perform clash detection and resolve modeling issues.

- Ensure model integrity and compliance with project standards.

- Export Tekla models to AGTx files for simulation purposes.

What We’re Looking For





• Proven experience with Tekla Structures in structural steel projects

• Proficiency in handling 3D scanning data (point clouds, laser scans)

• Strong understanding of construction and fabrication processes

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Desirable Skills

• Experience with NavisWorks, AutoCAD, Trimble Connect, RealWorks, ReCap

• Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination practices

• Knowledge of steel detailing standards and industry best practices
