End Client: Major Government Organisation (via NTT Data)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join a high-performing team delivering complex enterprise software solutions for a major government program based in Melbourne, Victoria. This contract opportunity offers an exciting chance to work on cutting-edge applications built on the Microsoft technology stack and Azure cloud services, contributing to meaningful public-sector outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack development expertise, a solid grasp of cloud-native architectures, and experience working within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions using C# .NET, .NET Core, and ASP.NET frameworks.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive unit testing using tools such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
- Develop and optimize SQL Server databases (including Azure SQL) with a focus on performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Build intuitive, responsive front-end applications using Angular (v14+), HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
- Develop solutions leveraging Azure PaaS and SaaS offerings including Azure Functions, ServiceBus, Blob Storage, KeyVault, and WebAPI.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices within scalable architectures.
- Implement DevOps pipelines for automated build and release processes using Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.
- Adhere to S.O.L.I.D design principles to ensure clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Collaborate in a Scrum Agile team environment to design, deliver, and continually improve applications.

Required Skills and Experience





- 3+ years of hands-on experience in C# .NET, .NET Core, and ASP.NET application development.
- Strong unit testing experience using xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL Server (including Azure SQL) — design, development, and performance optimization.
- 3+ years of front-end development experience with Angular 14+, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
- Expertise in leveraging Azure PaaS/SaaS services such as Azure Functions, ServiceBus, Blob Storage, KeyVault, and WebAPI.
- Proven experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Strong background in DevOps automation and continuous delivery practices.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio environments.
- Experience applying S.O.L.I.D design patterns for high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Prior experience building unit tests across backend and frontend layers.
- Agile (Scrum) experience with a collaborative, delivery-focused mindset.
- Previous experience working with AppConnect would also be favoured.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience developing solutions for public sector or government organisations.
- Familiarity with government-standard digital solution frameworks and compliance-based software delivery practices.
