The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Education Support Officer – Curriculum to join our Inclusive Education team. Working under the direction of the Principal (or delegate), you will support teachers to meet identified student learning needs and contribute to positive educational outcomes for all learners.
This role involves assisting with classroom learning programs, supporting students with diverse learning needs, contributing to inclusive practices, and fostering a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to helping students thrive academically,
socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support student learning and engagement under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Assist teachers in preparing, implementing and supervising classroom learning and intervention programs.
- Support students with identified learning or additional needs in accordance with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs).
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of student progress and program effectiveness.
- Assist teachers during excursions, sporting events, educational activities and playground supervision.
- Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to identify and respond to student learning and wellbeing needs.
About You
We are seeking someone who:
- Demonstrates experience supporting children and young people in a learning environment.
- Has a solid understanding of inclusive education practices and positive behaviour support strategies.
- Is able to work independently, exercise initiative and adapt to changing student needs.
