- Preparing clear financial, risk, compliance and governance reports and recommendations for the CEO, Board and committees.

- Overseeing payroll, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, annual statements and external audits.

- Maintaining and improving financial policies, internal controls, delegations, compliance registers and governance documentation.

- Leading strategic and operational risk management, including registers, mitigation strategies and emerging risk advice.

- Leading finance and corporate services staff and building productive relationships with managers, funders, auditors, agencies and community partners.

About you:

To be successful, you will bring:

- A CPA, CA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (mandatory).

- Senior financial leadership experience at Financial Controller, Finance Manager or equivalent level, covering budgeting, forecasting, reporting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and audit coordination.

- Practical knowledge of ACNC obligations, governance, audit, compliance, internal controls and risk management, with the ability to advise a CEO and Board.

- Experience managing funding agreements, grant acquittals, contractual obligations and regulatory reporting.

- Advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to turn complex information into practical insights.

- Experience preparing papers and presenting financial, governance, risk and compliance matters to Boards, committees and senior stakeholders.

- Demonstrated people leadership experience,

including building team capability, accountability and a service-oriented culture.

- Commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal people, communities and organisations, with an understanding of cultural safety, community accountability and values-led practice.

Desirable:

Experience using Xero and Our Cat Herder, or a similar Board or governance platform, will be well regarded.

Essential:

- Current unrestricted Western Australian Driver's Licence.

- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

- Australian working rights.

- Ability to travel regularly throughout the Pilbara, including remote communities.
