About the role

WA Specialised is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Perth. This is a full-time position working on projects across Western Australia, where you will take on a leadership role overseeing construction projects from conception through to completion. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for safely managing site-based teams, ensuring quality standards and driving project efficiency. This role is crucial to our success, as you will be the key link between management, trades personnel, and clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate construction teams on site, including managing daily workflows and allocating resources effectively

- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the approved WHSE Management Plan, and company policies

- Monitor project progress and quality of workmanship, addressing any defects or issues promptly

- Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings with team members

- Manage project timelines, reporting progress to project managers

- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution

- Maintain accurate records of work completed

- Investigate and report on any incidents or near-misses occurring on site

- Conduct site inductions for new workers

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or equivalent supervisory role in the construction industry,



Experience within the Water Industry desirable.

- Mechanical background beneficial to the position

- Strong knowledge of construction practices, SMP construction practices , and workplace health and safety regulations

- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage diverse teams effectively

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting building plans, specifications and technical drawings

- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

- Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

- Knowledge of construction scheduling

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required

- Relevant qualifications such as Construction Supervision certification or similar industry qualifications (preferred)

- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
