Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with an Aboriginal Health Service in the Northern Territory to recruit an experienced Community Midwife / Remote Area Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is remote nursing with purpose. You’ll work alongside Aboriginal women, families and communities, providing culturally safe, woman-centred care throughout pregnancy, birth planning and early parenthood.

You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships within community, work with a strong multidisciplinary team and use your clinical skills in a role where no two days are the same.

- Permanent FIFO or Community-Based option
- Base salary up to $141,804 per annum
- 12% superannuation
- Free accommodation inclusive of utilities and wifi
- Salary packaging of up to $15,900 per annum
- Meals and Entertainment of up to $2,650 per annum
- Relocation support up to $10,400
- 6 weeks annual leave

Your Role

As part of the Maternal and Women’s Health Program, you’ll work collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Health Workers, midwives, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Your days will be varied. You could be supporting a woman through her pregnancy and birth planning one moment, providing antenatal or postnatal care the next, before responding to an acute presentation within the community.

Remote practice offers a level of clinical autonomy,



variety and professional responsibility that is difficult to find elsewhere.

Essential Criteria

- Current AHPRA, dual registration with no restrictions
- Minimum 3 years' post-graduate nursing experience
- Solid clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience in remote, rural, primary healthcare or emergency nursing
- Current REC, MEC, ALS, PALS, NT i-STAT
- A current unrestricted manual driver's licence
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
