At the City of Armadale, we’re strengthening how we understand, plan and deliver the community spaces, facilities and environments that shape daily life for our residents. We’re looking for a practical, curious and community minded Community Infrastructure Planning Project Officer to help us coordinate engagement, research, planning and project support across our community and recreational infrastructure portfolio.

About the Role
As the City’s Community Infrastructure Planning Project Officer, you will support the development, coordination and delivery of community and recreational infrastructure projects. You’ll bring together research, engagement, planning and project support to ensure our work is informed, cooperative and aligned with the City’s strategic aspirations.
In this role, you will:
- Gather, analyse and interpret data to understand community needs, trends and opportunities.
- Support the development of strategies, business cases, project plans and funding submissions.
- Coordinate engagement activities and help deliver meaningful consultation with stakeholders.
- Prepare high quality reports, submissions, documentation and project materials.
- Work within the City’s Project Management Framework to support governance, coordination and delivery.
- Provide administrative and logistical support including meetings, events, records management and procurement.
- Identify opportunities, partnerships and funding sources that enhance community outcomes.
- Assist with financial and operational data analysis, monitoring and acquittal of funding requirements.
- Build positive working relationships across internal teams, community groups and external partners.
Your work will help the City plan and deliver community infrastructure that is sustainable, well researched and responsive to the needs of our residents.
About You
You’re someone who enjoys research, planning, coordination and working with others to deliver projects that make a difference. You bring strong analytical skills, clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Have qualifications in Urban & Regional Planning or Community Infrastructure Planning or experience in Recreation Planning (desirable).
- Have experience conducting research and deriving insights from multiple data sources.
- Can prepare high quality reports, submissions and funding documentation.
- Enjoy working with diverse stakeholders and building constructive relationships.
- Understand governance, risk, financial and project management processes.
- Hold a C Class Driver’s Licence and can obtain a National Police Certificate.
- Are organised, proactive and committed to delivering well planned community outcomes.
