About the Role

Luna n Soul is looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards and supporting the efficient daily operation of the kitchen.

Hours: 38 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
- Plan menus and assist in developing new dishes.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation.
- Manage stock levels and order kitchen supplies.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff when required.
- Coordinate with management and front-of-house staff.
- Minimise food waste and control kitchen costs.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant must have:

- A relevant commercial cookery qualification,



such as Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least two years of relevant work experience as a Chef.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- A valuable understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- The ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
