Health & Safety Officer – Residential Construction 2-Month Contract | $100M Residential Project | ASAP Start
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a leading large-scale builder on a $100M residential construction project.
This is a short-term contract opportunity for a safety professional who is confident working in a large, complex residential construction environment and can hit the ground running.
The Role Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure and compliant site environment throughout the project.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting regular site safety inspections and audits
- Monitoring compliance with WHS legislation, project requirements and company procedures
- Identifying hazards and implementing appropriate corrective actions
- Supporting site teams with safety advice and guidance
- Assisting with toolbox talks, inductions and safety meetings
- Managing safety documentation, reports and records
- Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Working closely with subcontractors and site personnel to promote a strong safety culture




- Supporting the project team with ongoing WHS requirements

About You To be considered, you will have:

- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer within large-scale residential construction
- Previous experience working on large residential building projects
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and practical approach to site safety
- The ability to work confidently with site teams, subcontractors and management
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Relevant WHS qualifications
