SYPAQ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Melbourne based team to lead the development of an experimental testing apparatus to support current and future Defence technologies.
Utilising your Mechanical engineering skill set supported by your experience in LabVIEW, this opportunity will see you design and build an experimental test apparatus that utilises a fully automated experimental control system and a fully automated data acquisition system. The experimental test apparatus will be used to test and measure components of carbon dioxide scrubber technology. The testing outcomes will be pivotal in the continued development of current and emerging technologies to further support Defence.
Your Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Registration with Engineers Australia and NER
- Australian Citizen with an Active NV1 Defence Security clearance.
- Highly experienced user of LabVIEW
- Excellent written and oral communications skills essential
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
