Aquatics Operations Supervisor
Part time ongoing role at 0.8 EFT (flexibility to progress to full time hours based on the preferences of the successful candidate)
Band 5 $77,357–$88,159 pro rata per annum, plus 12% statutory superannuation
As part of the Aqua Energy leadership team, the Aquatics Operations Supervisor plays a key role in creating protected, well-maintained and welcoming aquatic environments for our community.
This ongoing 0.8 EFT position offers flexibility to progress to full-time hours based on the preferences of the successful candidate.
This role would suit an organised and confident leader who enjoys supporting people, maintaining high operational standards and making sound decisions in a dynamic setting where safety, service and community outcomes matter.
Leading and supporting our lifeguard team, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of aquatic facilities, ensuring high standards of safety, water quality, risk management and facility presentation are maintained at all times. You'll support staff through coaching, training and development while fostering a proactive culture focused on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Working closely with other supervisors and operational teams, you'll help coordinate aquatic operations, support seasonal pool services, contribute to emergency response readiness and ensure facilities remain safe, compliant and enjoyable for the community.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of aquatic facilities, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused service delivery.
- Lead, support and develop the lifeguard team through coaching, mentoring, training and regular feedback.
- Coordinate staff rosters and operational requirements to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Monitor pool operations, water quality, risk controls and operational procedures to maintain compliance and safe aquatic environments.
- Support facility presentation, maintenance coordination and continuous improvement of aquatic operational practices.
- Promote a positive culture of safety, inclusion, accountability and customer service across the aquatic services team.
About You
· Experience in aquatics, leisure,
recreation or a similar customer-focused operational environment.
· Demonstrated experience supervising, supporting or developing staff within a team environment.
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate competing priorities, rosters and operational requirements.
· A sound understanding of safety, risk management, compliance requirements and the importance of accurate operational records and procedures.
· Well-developed communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, contractors, user groups and the community.
· A practical, proactive approach with the ability to exercise sound judgement and respond effectively to operational and emergency situations.
