The Business Development Manager will lead all NAFC major fundraising opportunities. This includes the Pavilion at Prospect's business operations, new and existing business opportunities, responding to proposals and building current program partnerships to positively impact the NAFC. This role is essential in fostering current relationships whilst creating sustainable opportunities to ensure future financial growth and innovation. You will be the point of contact for key partnership accounts, new business opportunities, all event enquires, oversee all Pavilion operations and deliver exceptional customer experience with importance to our partners. You will assess and be responsible for the profitability of the overall Pavilion at Prospect, identifying strategies to attract new prospective sponsors, maximising revenue and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- In collaboration with the CEO, identify target partners and corporate membership, initiate contact as required to build and manage key relationships
- Focus on retention of existing corporate partnership to align with the NAFC strategic plan
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate partnership agreements
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of funder prospects and corporate partners
- Provide regular milestone reporting and impact metrics to the CEO and the NAFC Board
- Oversee event-based fundraising activities and lead ideas which nurture event, product,
season and program sponsorship
- Lead the creation of the overall offering as well as Functions & Events product in conjunction with the CEO
- Manage the venue and enquiries, manage and oversee regulatory compliance requirements
- Oversee stock management and monitor all revenue and expenses
- Coordinate all event staffing and stock with the Business Development Officer
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food and Beverage or Business Management or relevant experience in a similar role
- Current Working with Children Clearance (WWC) and Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and remain multi-task focussed
- Experience in developing funding relationships with private and corporate partners
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in the design, implementation of a food and beverage operation that includes functions and events
- Knowledge of point of sale computer software systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel applications
- Experience in developing and managing budgets
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal reporting and communication skills
- Current Class C Driver's Licence and current criminal history check or Working with Children Check (WWCC)
