About the Position
The Ability team is part of the Active Ageing and Ability Team. The team is responsible for codesigning group-based programs with adults living with a disability residing within City of Onkaparinga. We aim to help people increase their social networks, practical and social skills, and increase their participation and inclusion in the community. This position reports to the Senior Ability Coordinator and will focus on codesigning a group-based program for adult NDIS participants.
About You
Work as part of a collaborative team – responsive to participant’s needs, offering great customer service – have energy, positivity and passion for people living with a disability. You will have experience in coordinating and facilitating group-based services. You will possess highly developed interpersonal and administrative skills. You will have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent or relevant experience with people living with a disability.
Key Selection Criteria:
1. Knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme
2. Knowledge of the effects of ageing and disability
3. Experience in coordinating group-based services and resources, including physical, human and financial
4. Excellent knowledge and understanding of databases and reporting software
5. Excellent computer and administration skills
6. Adaptable approach to problem solving, with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
