About the role

WA Industrial Cylinder Engineers is seeking experienced welders to join our Afternoon Shift team at our contemporary, well-equipped Perth workshop. We are a privately owned industry leader specializing in the manufacture, overhaul, and repair of hydraulic cylinders for heavy mining mobile equipment.

Two positions are available:

Welder – experienced in Sub Arc welding, crack repairs and welding of hydraulic cylinders, and

2nd Class Welder / Bore Welder – experienced in bore welding and hydraulic cylinder repairs, with experience using Climax bore welding machines highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

- Set up and operate bore welding equipment for the repair and restoration of hydraulic cylinder components

- Carry out welding repairs to hydraulic cylinder components in accordance with engineering specifications

- Perform Sub Arc welding and crack repairs where required

- Prepare, weld and finish components to required dimensions and quality standards

- Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality and dimensional requirements are met

- Identify and report damaged or non-conforming components

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld procedures and job documentation

- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and customer deadlines

About you

- Australian recognized 2nd Class Welder trade certificate or equivalent, where applicable





- Minimum 3 years' welding experience

- Strong welding skills with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds

- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, weld procedures and technical documentation

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- A proactive attitude with a commitment to workplace safety

- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence

- Experience working within quality management systems, with ISO 9001 experience desirable
