Overview

The DataCo Delivery Lead owns end‑to‑end delivery of the full DataCo scope for Project ARES, a 1GW hyperscale renewable data and energy hub in the Northern Territory. The role leads delivery across Tier III modular data halls, E3 closed‑loop dry‑cooler and direct liquid cooling systems, power integration and connectivity, built on a remote greenfield site behind the meter. It is responsible for EPC contractor performance, tenant interface management, commissioning strategy and integrating early works capability into a unified DataCo delivery organisation. The role is Perth based during FEED and transitions toward site as construction mobilises.

Key Responsibilities

- Own delivery of Tier III modular data halls, E3 cooling and MEP systems, power integration and connectivity
- Manage EPC contractor selection, contract management and performance oversight across building, cooling and connectivity packages
- Coordinate the tenant interface at the ORv3 manifold battery limit to ensure clear scope delineation
- Own DataCo commissioning strategy and sequencing to meet phased IT load ramp from 500 MW to 1 GW
- Coordinate with the PowerCo Delivery Lead on integrated power‑to‑IT‑load commissioning and grid‑to‑chip power delivery
- Report delivery progress, cost exposure and schedule risk to the Delivery Manager
- Establish systems, registers and ways of working from a blank page
- Promote robust HSE culture including site safety walks




- Apply commercial and technical frugality, favouring proven fit‑for‑purpose solutions
- Maintain position descriptions and conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports
- Communicate proactively on progress, risk and areas of exposure

Required Experience

- Degree in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering
- Minimum 15 years delivering hyperscale or large‑scale data centre facilities
- Experience with direct liquid cooling and Tier III design and construction
- Cross‑discipline delivery capability across superstructure, cooling and MEP, power integration and connectivity
- EPC contract management experience for first‑of‑kind designs in remote locations
- Comfortable integrating early works capability into a main construction delivery organisation
- Remote FIFO megaproject experience highly regarded
- Based in or willing to relocate to Perth
