Operating Model Enablement Lead - Contract

Initial 6-month contract | Enterprise Technology Transformation | Sydney

We are seeking an experienced Operating Model Enablement Lead to support the implementation and embedment of a newly launched Technology operating model within a large, complex enterprise environment.

The new operating model launched in July and the organisation is now moving from design and launch into the critical next phase: making the model work in practice.

This is a senior, highly visible transformation role requiring someone who can operate comfortably with executives while remaining hands-on enough to drive the detail.

The Role

Reporting to a senior leader within Strategy, Architecture & Enterprise Data & AI, you will become the central coordination and integration point for the operating model implementation.

You will bring together multiple workstreams spanning Technology, Transformation, People & Culture, Finance, Strategy, governance and organisational change, creating visibility and accountability across the program.

This isn't a traditional Program Manager role. You'll need to combine strategic thinking, strong program discipline, executive influence and pragmatic delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Own and drive the integrated operating model implementation roadmap and plan.

- Coordinate delivery across multiple transformation workstreams.

- Manage milestones, risks, issues and cross-functional dependencies.

- Establish clear ownership and accountability for outcomes.

- Facilitate workshops to define deliverables and resolve implementation challenges.

- Establish and manage executive governance and Steering Committee rhythms.

- Develop executive reporting, dashboards, SteerCo packs and decision papers.

- Translate executive decisions into tangible actions and ensure follow-through.

- Identify where the operating model needs further refinement as it embeds.

- Maintain momentum, alignment and engagement across senior stakeholder groups.





- Ensure people, process, governance, technology and organisational design initiatives remain aligned.

About You

We're looking for an experienced transformation leader who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and in the detail.

Your background may be in enterprise transformation, complex program delivery, operating model implementation, transformation/PMO leadership or management consulting.

You'll ideally bring:

- Significant experience leading complex enterprise transformation or operating model initiatives.

- Robust program management and implementation capability.

- Experience working across Technology and broader corporate functions.

- Confidence operating with CIO/Executive Leadership-level stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders with competing priorities.

- Strong governance, dependency, risk and executive reporting capability.

- Experience facilitating senior workshops and driving decisions.

- An understanding of organisational change and the people impacts of transformation.

- The ability to personally develop plans, reporting and governance artefacts rather than simply overseeing others.

- A pragmatic, adaptable approach when operating in an evolving environment.

You will be structured without being bureaucratic, resilient without being rigid and comfortable challenging senior stakeholders while bringing people with you.

Previous Technology operating model experience would be highly regarded, although we are also interested in accomplished enterprise transformation leaders who have successfully embedded complex organisational change.
