YZ Labour Hire is seeking a skilled and reliable Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a range of wall and floor tiling works, including surface preparation, tile installation, grouting, waterproofing, and finishing. We are looking for someone with relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

1. Interpret project plans and specifications and accurately measure, mark and set out tiling work at client worksites.
2. Prepare wall and floor surfaces for tiling, including removing existing tiles, grout and adhesive and repairing uneven surfaces, cracks and holes.
3. Install wall and floor tiles across residential and commercial work environments using appropriate adhesives and installation methods.
4. Measure, cut and shape tiles to accurately fit corners, edges, fixtures, pipes and other fittings.
5. Set and align tiles to maintain consistent spacing, levels, patterns and professional finishes.
6. Complete grouting, sealing and finishing works and remove excess grout and adhesive.
7. Carry out waterproofing preparation and application in wet areas in accordance with project specifications.
8. Install specialised flooring finishes, including granolithic, terrazzo, cement and similar compositions, where required.
9.



Create decorative tile layouts, patterns and mosaics using coloured and specialty tiles where required.
10. Work across different client sites and adapt to varying project requirements while maintaining consistent quality standards.
11. Safely use and maintain tile-cutting equipment, hand tools and other relevant equipment.
12. Maintain clean and organised work areas and comply with workplace health and safety requirements, site procedures and client requirements.

Skills and Qualification

1. Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or Certificate IV in Wall and Floor Tiling.
2. Robust knowledge of tiling techniques, materials, adhesives, grout and waterproofing systems
3. Ability to read and interpret plans and accurately measure and set out work.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
5. At least 1 year of experience as a wall and floor tiler
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Good time-management and organisational skills.
8. Ability to safely operate relevant tools and equipment.
