About the role
You will provide specialist scaffolding, access and risk-management support across projects, including planning and coordinating complex scaffolding and access requirements, supervising the erection, alteration and dismantling of scaffolding, and managing advanced, hung, suspended and complex scaffold arrangements.
You will review scaffold requirements before work commences, identify access, fall, dropped-object and work-at-height risks, and coordinate scaffold inspections, handovers and tagging. You will review scaffold loads, tie requirements, access arrangements and work interfaces, identify when engineered scaffold design or engineering verification is required, and develop and review SWMS, JHAs/JSEAs and risk assessments.
You will conduct site risk reviews and pre-start planning, assist project teams with high-risk work planning, and work with supervisors and crews to develop practical controls that work in the field.
You will support incident prevention, hazard identification and corrective actions, liaise with clients regarding scaffold, access and safety requirements, supervise scaffold crews and subcontractors where required, provide practical mentoring and leadership to personnel working around high-risk activities, and support broader project safety and risk-management activities when required.
Key responsibilities

About you
- SA – Advanced Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence – Essential
- Extensive industrial scaffolding experience
- Previous experience as a Scaffolding Supervisor, Leading Hand or Coordinator
- Strong experience with complex industrial scaffolding
- Demonstrated experience managing scaffolding around operating plant and high-risk work areas
- Robust understanding of working-at-heights and fall-risk management
- Excellent knowledge of SWMS, JHA/JSEA and risk-assessment processes
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights competency
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety highly regarded
