About the role

The Operations Trainee is a newly created position responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of the business, ensuring effective communication and workflow across sales, customer service, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics.

The role supports the end-to-end management of customer orders by ensuring they are planned accurately, manufacturing requirements are communicated, inventory is available, purchasing needs are identified, and finished products are dispatched within agreed customer timelines.

The position requires a highly organised and commercially aware individual who can manage multiple priorities,



maintain accurate records and proactively identify potential operational or supply issues. Strong Microsoft Excel capability is essential, along with a willingness to undertake hands-on manufacturing work when required.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service regarding product availability, expected dispatch dates and customer commitments

- Work closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor and management to establish daily and weekly production priorities

- Convert sales demand and inventory requirements into manufacturing requirements and prepare practical manufacturing schedules

- Monitor stock levels of finished goods, raw materials, components and packaging and identify potential stock shortages

- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight requirements and arrange transport for customer orders, pallets, machinery and supplier deliveries

About you

- Strong analytical mindset with a high level of data accuracy

- Strong organisational and planning skills

- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and customer deadlines

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills

- Proactive rather than reactive, with a willingness to identify and resolve issues early

- Able to work effectively in both an office and manufacturing or warehouse environment
