Your current company

This large Australian organisation is continuing to invest in its technology and transformation function, with a focus on modernising infrastructure platforms and delivering secure, scalable enterprise solutions.
This is an initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential. Brisbane is preferred, with Sydney also considered. The role offers hybrid working, with 5 days per fortnight required in office.
You will join a mature architecture environment and contribute to complex digital infrastructure and AI-enabled programs, with key demand across Cloud/SaaS, Security and broader infrastructure architecture.

Your new role

As the Cloud Solution Architect, you will define end-to-end technology solutions that align with domain and enterprise architecture standards.
You will work closely with business, technology, delivery, architecture and vendor teams to shape current, transition and target state designs. The role will suit someone who can balance strategic architecture thinking with practical delivery outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

- Defining end-to-end solution architectures across infrastructure platforms
- Developing current, transition and target state architecture views
- Providing design leadership across scalability, performance, reuse, security and implementation
- Preparing options, recommendations and high-level estimates
- Reviewing designs to ensure alignment with business needs, risk appetite and architecture standards
- Supporting project teams with technical direction through delivery
- Contributing to roadmaps, lifecycle planning, rationalisation and decommissioning opportunities
- Engaging with vendors and assessing emerging technologies




- Translating complex technical concepts for business and senior stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

You will bring strong solution architecture experience across enterprise technology environments, ideally with depth across Cloud/SaaS, Security or infrastructure platforms.
You will ideally have:

- 5+ years' IT experience, including 3+ years in architecture or design
- Experience defining end-to-end solution designs in complex environments
- Cloud/SaaS experience across Azure, AWS, tenancy, landing zones, shared services, VMs, storage, backup, DR or on-prem environments
- Security architecture or security-aware design experience across IAM, PIM, Zero Trust, Defender, Sentinel, cloud security or Netskope
- Broader infrastructure exposure across networks, integrations, data platforms or general infrastructure architecture
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance, performance, scalability and security considerations
- Experience working with business, technology, delivery and vendor stakeholders
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
- Agile or Lean experience highly regarded
- TOGAF, ArchiMate, insurance or financial services experience advantageous

You must hold valid Australian working rights to be considered.
