Employment is located in the Riverina town of Hanwood in the central New South Wales region. Mossmont requires 40 seasonal factory labourers for the up coming almond season commencing end of January 2027 and concluding in August, 2027.
Contract is for approximately 24 - 28 weeks period working in an almond processing factory. Tasks required of labourers includes but not limited to, sorting and bagging of almond produce. Other jobs include cleaning and general maintenance of factory equipment.
Candidates must be motivated for hard work and able to learn quickly. Work is very physical and indoors in hot and dusty climates. Successful candidates will be required for 5.30 am starts with the potential to work in the evening if required.
General hours of work will be 7.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Saturday. Applicants must be able to work in a team with others and able to follow verbal instructions.
Applicants must have a positive level of physical health / fitness.
Applicants must have the ability to work quickly, with accuracy. Applicants must have a good eye for detail with a high levels of quality. Successful candidates will be offered employment on a casual basis, working a minimal of 30 hours per week depending on weather and market demand.
Hourly rate is paid under the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award of $32.18c. Employment is seasonal with quiet periods if required. Applicants must commit to working for the full season.
Applicant likely to receive 30 hours per week of work on average. Applicants are required to provide their own transport to get to work. Applicants from outside the Hanwood area must demonstrate a commitment to relocating and living in the area for the period of employment.
