ABOUT THE ROLE We currently have opportunities for Mechanical Engineering Technicians at our Grassdale Feedlot Mort and Co Lot Feeders Pty Ltd. As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that all plant and equipment are maintained in excellent working order, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You’ll be instrumental in supporting the organization’s commitment to operational excellence and safety. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Implement preventative maintenance schedules through Mort & Co's Computerised Maintenance Management System such as MEX.



Perform evaluations on plant and equipment and complete necessary maintenance to return them to a serviceable state.

Attend to production breakdowns with minimal disruption to production. Ensure all maintenance work is accurately recorded using the site’s maintenance management software Analyse maintenance records and data to improve plant reliability and longevity. Support continuous improvement initiatives and capital work projects.

Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment within the Feedlot. Promote a 'Safety First' culture, ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in accordance with Mort & Co's WHS.

ABOUT YOU We are looking for candidates with extensive maintenance experience in a manufacturing production environment. You should have: Relevant Diploma level qualifications or proven skills in these areas; At least 2 years of maintenance experience; Strong understanding of WH&S; standards within a manufacturing environment; Full Australian working rights and an open driver’s licence; About Company Mort & Co is one of Australia’s most creative privately-owned beef cattle lot feeding, management and marketing companies, and a leading exporter of premium Australian agricultural product.
