One of Australia’s leading Federal Government agencies is looking to engage an experienced Senior Data Analyst / Lead Data Analyst to lead complex data analysis and support the delivery of important data assets and capabilities across a strategic change program. The successful Senior Data Analyst will be offered an initial 12-month contract with a 12-month extension option, with opportunities across ACT, NSW, VIC and QLD.
The successful Senior Data Analyst will lead and guide a small team of Data Analysts while working hands-on across data wrangling, profiling, transformation, validation and the development of high-quality data products within a cloud data environment.
The successful Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts.
- Analyse and profile complex data sources.
- Translate business rules into coded transformations.
- Design and prototype new data products.
- Perform data validation and defect remediation.
The successful Senior Data Analyst will have experience in the following:
- Extensive experience analysing complex datasets.
- Programming experience with SQL, SAS, R and/or Python.
- Robust Enterprise Data Warehouse experience.
- Experience with data pipelines and data modelling.
- Experience with Snowflake, SAS Viya or other cloud data platforms will be highly regarded.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI will also be highly regarded.
